Boyd Harte based this design on a well-known photograph of Nijinsky in Debussy's ballet Jeux about a game of tennis The present work was used for the cover of a CBS masterworks LP issued to coincide with a film on the life of Nijinsky, directed by Herbert Ross in 1980.
