An idea for a poster made by Halliwell to advertise the Southport Water Carnival. A related design by the artist was printed as a poster in 1924 by David Allen & Sons in a slightly wider format, albeit less rich in detail than the present design. The Atkinson Art Gallery in Southport hold a copy of that poster.
