Badmin joined the AIA in 1936, serving on its central committee in the late 1930s and early 1940s. He also served on the committee that helped launch the “Everyman Prints”, produced with the express aim of helping collectors of even the lowest budgets to buy original art. His urban scenes focus more on the everyday life of suburbia, including roads near his home in Sydenham and elsewhere in south London. He later contributed to the Recording Britain project in the 1940s and produced celebrated work for the Shell Guides in the Post War years.
